Shift Facilitator (3rd shift) – Abbeville, SC

Job Summary:
Assists HVAC production by coordinating and monitoring the work of the group and maintains the manufacturing operations.  Provides assistance, troubleshoots and assists in training/retraining efforts.  Refers disciplinary actions and other unusual matters to supervision and/or unit management.

Essential Functions:
Coordinates activities of an assigned shift to assure employees produce a quality product at an acceptable performance level.  May be assigned to a specific group of machines or area of the department.  Assignments will vary and require versatility and knowledge of a wide range of equipment and processes.

Shift flexibility is necessary and requires changes as additional support is needed.

Understands the equipment, processes and methods of operation and is capable of training employees and providing assistance or troubleshooting.

Monitors daily performance of assigned area or employees.  Makes recommendations to supervisor concerning needed actions.  Makes recommendations on improving the effectiveness of the operation in the areas of scrap, supplies and labor.

Maintains good employee relations.  Reviews complaints within limits of authority.

Secondary Duties:
Reports defects of products or equipment (corrects or flags).
Reports any unusual conditions or situations.

Qualifications:

Education:                  High school diploma or GED required plus additional specialized training

Experience:                 3+ years in the HVAC department with qualifications at a machine operator level

Skills:                           Communication skills essential
                                     Mechanical aptitude  

Special Requirements:           Flexibility as to shift assignment.
